抛开年代，也是一部相当精致的动画电影，不论是画面设计、配音又或是剧本。虽然故事情节低龄化、简单化，人物形象、配音脸谱化，但作为主要面向儿童观看的动画而言，这些确实不是缺点，而且通俗易懂。剪纸、水墨等多种画风的完美融合，使其中国特色非常鲜明、和谐，有着独具一格的美感。各种不同口音、不同风格的配音，也展现出极为专业的配音水平。如果再考虑到影片的成片年代，这部动画就不是佳作而是神作了。
